Founded in August, 2005, Hua-Shih College of Education (HSCE) formerly belonged to National Hualien University of Education has been merged with National Dong Hwa University since 2008. As the College has shifted from an institute of teacher training to a higher education institution. The goals of the College have extended from training elementary educators to foster professionals in the field of education. Following a newly modified mission, scope and commitment, HSCE is expected to develop the knowledge, skills, wisdom, and capacities of its students. It is hoped that faculties and students can take leadership in efforts to address issues and seek solutions that contribute to the future of education.
